Introduction

The Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA) is a State Corporation established under the National Treasury pursuant to the Unclaimed Financial Assets Act No. 40 of 2011. UFAA’s primary mandate is to receive, safeguard, and reunite unclaimed financial assets with their rightful owners on behalf of the Government

Key Responsibilities
The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Trustee, as the Accounting Officer and Managing Trustee of the Unclaimed Financial Assets Trust Fund, will:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Authority.
• Provide leadership to senior management and staff while serving as the link between the Board and Management.
• Prepare annual budgets and establish proper internal controls.
• Execute and communicate the Authority’s strategies, decisions, and policies.
• Develop and recommend annual business plans to the Board.
• Ensure the organization has an effective management structure, including succession plans.
• Ensure timely preparation and dissemination of accurate Board papers.
• Drive the achievement of the Authority’s objectives and mandate.
• Establish effective administrative structures, processes, and systems.
• Maintain regular and comprehensive communication with the Board on key technical, financial, and administrative matters.
• Enhance stakeholder management and promote the Authority’s corporate image.
• Represent the Authority and Kenya in regional and international forums on unclaimed financial assets.
• Oversee the implementation of Government policies and directives within the Authority.
• Develop and strengthen partnerships with government agencies, the private sector, and strategic partners.
• Lead the formulation, implementation, review, and monitoring of the Strategic Plan, Business Plans, Procurement Plans, Annual Work Plans, and Budgets.
• Uphold high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility.
• Oversee the implementation of Board decisions and appraise senior management.

Terms and Conditions
The appointment will be for a contractual period of three (3) years, renewable once, subject to satisfactory performance. The successful candidate will receive a competitive remuneration package as determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission
